Rocky Ridge Jack Russells

Shyanne & Shoshanna welcome you to Rocky Ridge Ranch

Rocky Ridge Ranch is in Oak Run, a small town located in the foothills of Mt. Lassen in Northern California. We are a small breeder in the beginning stages of development. However our love for the breed began years ago when we acquired our first Jack Russell. Just a couple years ago we began obtaining females for the purpose of breeding. We are members of the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America (JRTCA) and follow the JRTCA standards and the Breeders Code of Ethics. You will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of our puppies, their conformation, temperament, and hunting ability.  We have raised our girls in our home as a part of the family and we are continually amazed at how these small in stature, yet totally focused little dogs entertain us. They are lively, active, alert, and fearless with joyful natures. They love a good run in the woods as well as cuddling up with us by the fire in the evening.

The JRTCA maintains a registry for the Jack Russell Terrier in the United States; it is the largest Jack Russell Terrier Club and registry in the world. The club was founded to protect and preserve the unique characteristics and working heritage of the dog. This club maintains a breed registry designed to preserve the Jack Russell Terrier as a healthy working breed, free from genetic faults and characteristics that would be detrimental to the breed. Whereas other registries will register entire litters at birth, the JRTCA does not. Instead, each application for registration is judged on the individual dog's merits, not on those of its parents.
